Elementary

  1. Benchmark 1. "Compare and order numbers using "equal," "less than" or "greater than."
    1. Compare and Order Numbers - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.1)
      This interactive site identifies grade levels as well as math topics. A wide variety of math activities are available.
    2. Guess the Number - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.1)
      This is an interactive site which requires students to compare and order numbers through prompts. The game will tell if their guess is greater than or less than the mystery number. A great review of whole numbers and their position relative to each other. This is a student activity. Be sure to click on "Games".
    3. Saloon Snap - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.1)
      The student will match fractions with equivalent decimals and percentages. The site has tips and key ideas to help the student if needed. Grade levels 4 and up. Other learning games are available at this site.

      Interactive site which allows students to manipulate fraction bars to help develop a understanding of fractions.  This site also includes description, teacher lesson plans, guidelins and instructions on how to use this applet.
    2. Harcourt E-Lab - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.2&3)
      Outstanding - An outstanding interactive site by grade levels.  Students can manipulate hundreds charts, pies, number lines, scales, measuring cups, factoring scales, and so much more.
    3. Integer Bars - Number Relationships  (IV.3.E.2)
      Interactive site which allows students to manipulate interger bars to help develop a understanding of basic math concepts.  This site also includes description, teacher lesson plans, guidelines and instructions on how to use this applet.
    4. Line Jumper - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.2)
      Line Jumper is an interactive student activity where students will work with addition and subtraction utilizing a number line. Different levels of ability will make this activity appropriate for K-5 students.
    5. Measure It - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.2)
      An interactive game for students to measure the length of a red line using a ruler.  Students choose from easy to hard levels using inches or centimeters.  Students will explore whole and part numbers in this activity.

    1. BasketMath Interactive Learning - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.3)
      This is an interactive math site where the students solve problems on common factors. If the answer is correct, the animated basketball player shoots the ball. This site also has the option to play the basketball game with many other concepts such as rounding numbers, perimeter, decimals, and bar graphs. Grades 3 and up.
    2. Learning about Number Relationships and Properties of Numbers Using Calculators and Hundred Boards: Displaying Number Patterns - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.2&2)
      A major learning goal for students in the primary grades is to develop an understanding of properties of and relationships among numbers.  Building on students' intuitive understanding of patterns and number relationships, teachers can further the development of number concepts and logical reasoning as described in this site.

    4. Number Cracker - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.3)
      An interactive game for students to find the next number in a series of numbers by identifying the common element.  Students can choose from easy to hard levels.
    5. The Factor Game - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.3)
      Outstanding! Students can compete against the computer or another student as they play this game that requires knowledge of factors and the ability to strategize. Excellent practice for those working on factors and multiples.
  4. Benchmark 4. "Apply their understanding of number relationships in solving problems."
    1. Magic Square Game - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.5)
      This is a student interactive game of Magic Squares. Magic Squares are formed by filling in all the squares with the numbers starting from one so the the sum of all rows, columns, and diagonals is the same number. Grades 3 and up.
    2. Math Facts Cafe - Number Relationships  (IV.3.E.5)
      This is a nice site for math fact practice and missing numbers.  You can choose grade level and operation.  You have the choice of a printable page or interactive with answer keys.  You can also bulid your own practice sheets.
    3. Multiplication Mastery - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.1)
      Outstanding - The student will solve Multiplication problems. This site requires sound and is worth the trip! Best suited for grade levels 4 and up.
    4. Pumpkin Pie For All - Number Relationships (IV.3.E.5)
      The students will take a basic pie recipe and will multiply a fractional amount to make enough for their class. Teacher lesson plans and graphics.
