Elementary

    1. A Parcel for the Odd Bugs - Operations and their Properties (V.1.E.1)
      This section of the Count On website continues the adventures of the Odd Bugs. Here the students match up cups and saucers to make sets of 10.
    2. Line Jumper - Operations and their Properties (V.1.E.1&4)
      This interactive site allows students to use a number line to solve addition and subtraction problems. The levels of difficulty range from easy, medium, hard, advanced difficulty. In the last two respective ranges, the children can deal with negative numbers; therefore this website can be used for children of any elementary age. This site contains general information and and is a student activity.

      This game is appropriate for elementary school students. It features a baseball game wherein one's knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division determines how well you do.       This site provides student interaction with visual respresentations of fractions on several different levels - from identifying the fractional part of a model to showing visual representations of operations performed with fractions (proper and improper). This site also offers student accountability in the form of an optional, printable student report card based on the student performance at this site.

      This is a wonderful student interactive site. The site provides students with opportunities to play games which reinforce addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts. The math games include: Matho bingo, Concentration with Math Facts; Find the Hidden Picture with math facts and flashcards.
    2. Flashcards For Kids - Operations and their Properties (V.1.E.2)
      This site allows you to set the number of problems, the level of difficulty, as in "Easy, no negatives; complex up to 10 numbers," as well as the size of the numbers (0-9), (0-99). This is a student activity.

      This is a collection of on-line games suitable for drill or reinforcement of basic math concepts and operations. The site has several different game formats for each basic operation. Each game is available in Java or non-Java versions. The Java versions are self-scoring.

      This is a cool site for upper elementary students.  Students play the game "Tran Towers," a game where students navigate their way through an old house.  Before students can move to another room, they need to successfully complete a mathematical problem.

      This is a partner activity that gives students an opportunity to practice computation as their bugs race.  Students can pick the level of difficulty.
